Clara Barton Portrait
Posted: Tue 4/04/2017 3:00pm

Approx. Value: Priceless
Last Online Bid: N/A

*Donated by: Encore Farm, Kline's Designs, Trophies & More

The top bid "rents" this framed copy of Matthew Brady's portrait of Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross.

In a sense, you'll be "doing Clara's bidding," because the money you pay will support Red Cross operations in Marion County: Programs that include disaster relief, blood services, health & safety training, as well as services to members of our armed forces. Keep the portrait until next year's Radiothon draws near, sign your name on the back and return it to the Chapter. We'll auction it off again to help carry on the important work Miss Barton started back in 1881. From year to year, the top bidder's name will be added to a plaque displayed in the lobby of the Alber Red Cross Center.

In its seven years in the Radiothon, Miss Barton's portrait has generated $1,230 for the Chapter. The portrait was donated by Encore Farm and the custom framing and matting was donated by Kline's Designs of Marion. Engraving and the lobby plaque were donated by Trophies & More, LLC of Marion.

Important Terms and Conditions:
The portrait must be returned to the Chapter one week prior to the 2017 Radiothon being held on May 11th, 2017.

Scheduled to be Auctioned in the 6pm Hour.
